Ménara Garden

The garden is situated just outside the center of Marrakech, to the west. Planted with olive-trees, some of which are more than 100 years old, the charm of the Ménara garden lies in its central part. It’s large central lake was dug in the 12th century. On one side, there is a harmonius Saadian style pavillion that was built at the end of the 19th century. Legend has it that the Menara garden was a place of love trysts for the sultans. The tranquillity and comparative coolness of the garden make it one of the most pleasant and romantic places in Marrakech especially just before sundown. Additionally it offers a magnificent view on the Atlas Mountains.
